Your reminder privacy
Welch the Florist Limited provides this free birthday and anniversary reminder service. It is separate from our general newsletter.
What you choose to share
We use your first name, email address, occasion type, day and month, and any optional label you add to send the annual reminders and flower ideas you request. We do not ask for a birth year. Please use a simple label or first name rather than extra personal details about someone else.
Your permission
We ask for your agreement to reminders and flower ideas, and confirm your email before starting. We keep the consent wording version and confirmation time. Signing up does not enrol you in our wider newsletter, and we do not automatically add existing customers.
Who processes the information
Cloudflare hosts the reminder service and database and delivers service emails such as email confirmation. Our flower recommendation sending route will be stated here before the service opens. We do not sell reminder details.
How long we keep it
Unconfirmed requests expire after 24 hours and are removed during routine cleanup. Confirmed reminder details stay until you remove the occasion. Removing it deletes its active record and delivery history. Operational send records expire after 90 days. Database recovery copies follow the hosting provider’s retention period and are not used to restart removed reminders.
Change your mind whenever you like
Use the change/remove link in your reminder or welcome email to update a date or remove that occasion. This does not change any separate newsletter choice. Email hello@welchtheflorist.co.uk if you need help, want to see your information or ask for it to be corrected or deleted. You may also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Measurement
We count reminder requests and confirmations. Shop links identify the reminder campaign so we can understand orders it brings to Welch. We do not put your email address, label or occasion date in campaign tracking links. Website analytics remain subject to the website’s privacy and cookie choices.
